Scholarship Application

The Ohio National Guard Enlisted Association (ONGEA) will award scholarship grants as approved by the ONGEA Executive Board. Applicants must be enrolled at a college, university, trade or business school in order to receive funds. Graduate students are only eligible for the ONGEA Leadership Scholarship, and must meet all eligibility requirements. Leadership applicants who are not selected will become eligible for the traditional scholarship, if availability exists. There shall be no consideration whatsoever given because of rank or grade of applicant or applicant’s parents. Grants will be awarded on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, and need.

ONGEA Scholarships are a one-time award. Previous winners are not eligible to apply. If the school term is not completed due to causes other than illness or physical injury, the student will refund the scholarship award. Please read the scholarship material and complete the application in full.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the annual ONGEA Awards Banquet, and winners are strongly encouraged to attend.

These scholarships are made possible by generous donations from ONGEA, First Cleveland Cavalry-Norton Memorial Fund, and United States Automobile Association (USAA).
